Dr. Puneet Dhaliwal

PT, DPT, MA, NCS, CEEAA, CSRS

I studied various neurologic diseases since the beginning of my career, but I had special emphasis on the treatment of gait and balance impairment in people with Parkinson’s disease, Stroke and training the Aging Adult. I hold Certification in LSVT Big and PWR for PD along with being a Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist and a Certified Exercise Expert in Aging Adults.

Training people with Parkinson’s and Stroke with specialized exercises like LSVT Big and with PWR for PD have been an absolute joy!

My chance to work with people with dizziness and BPPV led to my interest in vestibular disorders. I have had the opportunity to do my advanced training from some of the best Clinicians around the World, namely, Brandt Thomas, Marianne Dieterich, Andreas Zwergal, Michael Strupp, Susan Whitney and a team of Physical Therapists including Susan Herdman from Emory University and hold a Competency Certification in Vestibular Rehab along with being a Board Certified Neurologic Rehabilitation Clinician.

Learning more about some of the debilitating conditions like Mal De Embarquement, Meniere's Disease, Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness also called PPPD, and developing an effective vestibular rehabilitation treatment remains a major clinical and research interest of mine.

As a physical therapist with expertise in vestibular disorders and neurologic disorders, I understand the science behind them and can help people feel better by creating unique and individualistic treatments for their condition.

I collaborate closely with various other health providers including neurologists, ear, nose, and throat specialists (ENT), audiologists, and psychologists and educate people about their condition—stressing that improvement takes time.
